Man reveals he has 240 gnomes in his back again backyard garden on This Morning

A man has uncovered he has 240 gnomes in his again yard on This Morning – but admitted his partner is not a enthusiast.

Dave Robinson, from Cornwall, has hundreds of the figurines which he has collected in the final five many years – and admitted it can take 5 hours to paint and preserve them in a single sitting down.

But inspite of Dave’s enthusiasm for the back garden gnomes, some viewers had been still left uninspired by his pastime and prompt the goods would be offering them ‘nightmares’.

Talking to presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, Dave explained how his collection started five years ago.

He reported: ‘It started about 5 yrs in the past, when the Queen experienced her jubilee and my father went into Asda and he observed they had this giant gnome queen and he came property and explained to me and I saw it and believed which is adorable.

‘But our backyard garden was so overgrown [so I thought it would] appear terrible in it, but just after a pair of days I imagined “do you know, one particular gnome will glance good, maybe two or 3”.

‘And I went up to get her but she’d sold out so I finished up driving 50 % way close to Cornwall and I ended up getting her and a knight and a mom gnome and some young children, and then they received a pet dog and a cat and a granny and grandad and it just sort of created from there.

Talking about the routine maintenance of his selection, Dave included: ‘It’s a nightmare, I employed to spray them all with this lacquer and it would protect them but mainly because Cornwall’s pretty sunny at periods I started off repainting and it can choose me all around five several hours.’

Dave joked he’d quickly require a more substantial residence, and admitted he’d travelled as far as Doncaster to incorporate to his gnomes, filling his automobile with 20 of the figurines.
